Australian Sprint champs 18/10/2008  

Tara Prowse took overall line honours in the womens event claiming the 20-24 age group title. Her run time was 8th fastest of the day and her overall time was good enough for 12th outright.

NSW Long course championships 19/10/08

Peter Robertson had a comfortable win in the NSW Long Course Championships after leading the swim out alongside Chris Kemp. The pair held a lead on the chasing group until the first turn around at the 15km mark. After a few small surges the group of five came into transition together. Robbo settled in to his pace as the others hit the run fast and Robbo took the lead at the 1500m mark and then pulled away easily on the first lap at 3:20 per km pace. Meanwhile Kemp was in a 3 way ballte for second and was finding the going tough having won the NSW Pro Tour event the day before and fell off the pace at the end of the first lap and would eventually fade in the final kms and finish fifth. Tara Prowse was having a solid day in the women's race which saw her 3minute swim deficit balloon as the leading open women were pulled through with the top amaetur men. Coming over 6:30 down in third place, Tara set out to post the 12 fastest run split of the day and mow down seond place and cut 3:40 back from the winner.
