First time IRONMAN competitors Lara Boyd and Santiago Sanchez completed their mission of becoming and Ironman.For Lara the event was the culmination of time away from work. Six months to be precise, spent mostly in France watching the Tour de France and riding the Alps as part of her preparation for the event. Twelve months ago life was very different for the London based Aussie, working for Deutsche Bank and diving into the London Pubs each day. The new lycra wardrobe the outfit of choice and a new found outlook on life.

Meanwhile husband Steve, who raced IM France earlier this year recorded his second IM with a sound effort of 11:49. The goal initially was set for IM France and then later the idea of toeing the start line with Lara was too strong.
Congratulations also to Santiago Sanchez who was also on debut.
